ON COVER - The Moab normal fault, Utah, juxtaposes Upper Jurrasic white sandstone of the Moab Tongue (foreground) against stratigraphically lower reddish sandstone of the Slick Rock Member of the Entrada Sandstone (background). The Moab Tongue standstone is cemented with calcite concretions and veins in the vicinity of the fault. The article by Eichhubl et al. on p. 653 of this issue discusses fault-controlled diagenesis and the implications of hydrocarbon flow along faults for diagenetic fault sealing in dastic reservoirs.
