Joint occurrence of glauconite and chlorite in sedimentary rocks; a review

Recently published studies of glauconite-chlorite rocks in the USSR are reviewed. The joint occurrence of these supposedly incompatible minerals is attributed to changes in the physicochemical environment (from oxidizing to reducing) during diagenesis of the sediments.
